Maxim Ivanov is Russian born artist-photographer, alumni of the British Higher School of Art and Design. After a fruitful period of studies he witnessed that his practice revolves around the notions of the Heraclitian becoming, the Nietzschean will to power, and the Burkean sublime. The mentioned thinkers convinced him that good art is that which empowers its friendly viewer. Since then his work has become ouroboricly encircled: senses give birth to the work’s concept, the concept determines the works aesthetics (its medium and the method of creation), and the outcome’s aesthetics appeal to the viewer’s senses. The depth of the emotional impact augmented by the work’s conceptual weight is what he aims to enlarge.
